I've never been to the alleged tropical paradise in the Caribbean, but I have been to its avenue namesake in
Cottage Grove, MN. And let me tell you what: With its fine Country
Kitchen and its delectable Applebee's cuisine and its Fargolike accented people, the island has a tough act to follow. I only hope the lush,
tropical vegetation there is half as nice as the plastic kind that litters Hwy. 61 in honor of no one in particular.
